August, 2005 Football Update...

During the previous ten football seasons here on the Internet, Joe Atkins has written a FREE weekly newsletter - The Gridiron Report. The newsletter had information with substance. Information that made you take a few moments and think.

2005 has meant changes. My youngest son has graduated and I'm been dealing with health issues. Nothing serious, just a new healthy life style change. I have decided to limit my amount of time needed doing the newsletter and taking some time to determine my sense of direction for the future. Of course, those wanting to subscribe for late phone selections are welcome.

My website selections will continue to be posted on a weekly basis. I have been handicapping non stop for the last 25 years and I wanted to alter my schedule for the upcoming season. Quite frankly, for several years, I have been limiting my marketing to finding clients who value superb winning information over the long term. Not the 100-meter dash.

My new format allows me to give out selections early to beat lines going against us later in the week and to wait till just before game time to pound games with bad numbers. For many years, I was caught up in the monitoring of selections. I won many handicapping championships in MLB, Basketball, and Football over the years. Yet, I never fully grasped why the contests were not customer friendly.
