MINDSET of Professional Sports Players

One more weapon in your arsenal that will allow you to attain your goal of being a Successful Sports Investor. Mindset...

Always remember that everyday life is a learning experience.

The person with the most options to choose from has the greatest opportunity for success. Most people limit their options. Your challenge is to increase and expand your options. The concept used is the use of the creative powers of your mind to discover opportunity.

RUMBLINGS... http://www.sportsanalyst.com

Unless you have a BELIEF there's no RELIEF in sight... VISUALIZATION

The main reason why more people don't have Belief in their lives is that they believe Belief is something much more magical and mystical than it is, and believe that certain people have it and certain people don't.

The truth is that certain people choose to develop it: others choose not to develop it... if you want to become a Successful Sports Investor . You should make it a habit to acquire additional information and knowledge about those subjects most relevant to your belief's and goals...

What do you know this week that you didn't know last week about your job, work or business... your industry or profession... the trends that affect that industry or profession? What do you know this week about getting along with people? What do you know this week that you didn't know last week about the activities you plan to engage IN THE FUTURE?

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT -- Never Ending Process!

Dormant knowledge is arguably no better than no knowledge at all.

The person who can read but does not read is no better off than the illiterate who cannot read.

BELIEF-SACRIFICE-RELIEF-

People who are SINCERE about success will do as much work as is required, for as long as it takes , without grumbling... They have a passion to succeed. They find or make whatever time is necessary. And they do it now!

It has been my and others that I respect observation's that people waste a lot of time in half-hearted pursuit of objectives that are really not all that important to them. Not everyone makes the correct sacrifices.

Most people sacrifice the best possible results in order to avoid difficult or unpleasant activities, frightening risk, pain, defeat. What's really ironic is that most of these people get stuck in this rut anyway. Others sacrifice their preferences for easy or pleasant activity, safety, security, and limited effort in order to achieve desirable results.

People need to make a basic philosophical choice about the type of sacrifice that they are willing to make. You see, if you are not honestly prepared, willing and able to make the right kind of sacrifices, you can never believe or achieve any significant goals. And without the element of belief... Napoleon Hill's words of-- Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve-- simply DOES NOT WORK.

MINDSET CONCENTRATION IS KEY TO SUCCESS IN ALL FIELDS... IT ALSO IS A KEY TO PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY.

Having faith doesn't matter if you don't apply it. If you only do what you've always done, no amount of faith can bring you anything different than what you've always got. Faith matched with Massive Action is an incredibly powerful force... When you take massive action, you earn the right to have faith...

You are much less susceptible to discouragement and depression: much less likely to be distracted from your goals: certain to have a higher belief level; when you match massive action with faith.

Every Successful Sports Investor has the Mindset of a Winner!

THE TRUE PROFESSIONAL SPORTS INVESTOR THINKS OF HIMSELF AS A WINNER; A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPER AND LEADER. HE KNOWS THAT HIS TALENT, SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND COURAGE IS TRANSFERABLE FROM SPORT TO SPORT. PROFESSIONAL MINDSET THINKING LIFTS AND EXPANDS NORMAL LIMITS.

Procrastination rarely makes decisions better. Most people never set goals as surveys show that only about 2% of all Americans ever actually write down goals, 98% of America actually give more thought to what they are going to have for dinner or planning a weekend vacation than they do planning their lives--Gamblers fall right into this trap, they have no set game plan other to say that they want action for the upcoming weekend and what are the odds on the games.

There seems to be a direct correlation between the fact that most people are failures and have nothing left for retirement age because of their lack of planning and goal-setting early on in life...

Those who are sports bettors seem to have the same percentage of success stories as those small percentage of people who have increased enthusiasm and success from goal-setting and having a well defined game plan for that success. There are people who are goal-directed and oriented and people who have no sense of direction, so any road will do.

Goal-directed oriented people live more exciting, healthier and profitable lives. It has been suggested that true high achievers in life not only set lots of goals and work on them all the time, but, they actually dedicate their lives to a goal-oriented lifestyle. They have goals for everything and thus turn their entire life into a journey of substance.

We are a nation of gamblers, not just in the business world, but also in the social, entertainment and sporting sectors of our society. In 2001, millions of people placed bets on football games alone...

You don't win by mistake!

If your a sports bettor, you want to take advantage of every edge you can to enhance your bottom line potential. PROFIT

On Trends... One must always remember that in sports wagering, we are betting on the DIRECTION of a number. In, baseball, if we bet on a pitcher that has an ERA of 3.40, essentially we are betting that it will be 3.31 when the game is over. And the opposite is true if we bet against him. Yet not everyone is able to grasp this. Every year hundreds of thousands {I wonder if millions might be more accurate] of dollars are lost by mathematicians and computer experts in this endeavor, largely because they end up following numbers that have already become outdated. In other words, they are looking to bet on a trend, and in many instances by the time something shows mathematical sequence to be considered a trend it may be a notion that has already run its course.

The problems with partial scores

James Caan may have eventually learned his lesson in "THE GAMBLER", a must-see movie for anyone involved either directly or indirectly in this business, although the ending leaves things just a bit vague. Caan made the classic mistake of checking the half-time scores on one college basketball EVENING, and saw that huge change in fortune when a bunch of seemingly great scores all turned in the second half.

Talk about reflecting real life--we are amazed at how many sports bettors we run into each week that are literally "wired" into the football scores all day long. And not just for half times. They check beepers, watch the cable television channels that have the scrolling scoreboards, surf the Internet or call their local score phones constantly, trying to see EVERY score as it comes across, which can give them an idea as to whether or not their bets are going to win or lose.

We must admit that we started out that way as well, back in the late 70's, when the only way to get access to partial scores was to call the old score phone that people like Bill Russell did commercials for...

976-1313..

And 25 years later, we are still not sure that anyone does it better. Phone bills during college basketball season used to be about an inch thick, with an average of about 30-40 calls on Saturday. At the time, we were not just being degenerate gamblers, however; it was actually an information quest....{I remember how many yellow pads and number 2 pencils I went through back in the good old days in compiling stats and information}

These were in the pre-ESPN days, when there would only be one or two college basketball games televised on a given Saturday, and it was almost impossible to find box scores in the local newspapers, unless they were strictly for the local teams. By checking those partials, we were able to get a feel for how the flow of a game really went, and we kept detailed notes on them.

Things are better now, from one perspective-- it is relatively easy to get all of the information we need, largely because of the Internet, so we do not spend nearly the same amount of time checking the in-progress scores. Of course we do not have to go out of our way to check them anyway, it is almost impossible to AVOID them these days...

Joe Atkins
...A Commitment To Consistency

Before opening Inside Information, back in 1983, Joe Atkins built the foundation for his success by becoming a behind-the-scenes leader in the sports investment business in Florida; in Las Vegas; in Texas. In each location, he left a rich legacy of winners, while gaining knowledge from the most respected and highly qualified veteran handicappers, sports analysts, players, and odds makers in the industry. Superb Techniques that produced WINNERS with Integrity. Successful Money Management programs that grind out a profit.

While others claimed notoriety, Joe quietly did his homework. Since opening Inside Information, Joe was one of the very select few handicappers to be rated Number ONE in all sports (football, basketball, and baseball) by the infamous Mike McCusker... Joe didn't rest with that accomplishment. He pressed for excellence and responded with over 100 top-10 finishes in all sports and categories as documented by the Sports Monitor in Oklahoma City -- since 1986. The Sports Monitor charted over 75+ sports services in the country and Joe was one of the top DOCUMENTED Professional Sports Analyst in the country for over a decade.

It saddened Joe to watch new unscrupulous people crow about flash-in-the-pan successes on television and radio. Joe Atkins and other reputable 'cappers don't assault your senses. They seek to inform and educate in a professional manner. Back in 1986, Joe started doing radio appearances and was invited to be a guest on over 40+ radio stations in one year. In the decade of the 90's Joe was part of the original AROUND THE NFL show that he helped debut in 1991. For seven years, Joe was the top Sports Analyst for the NFL Draft, with coverage of EVERY round, at the premier talk-radio station in Dallas, Texas. He co-hosted a two-hour show for seven football seasons that literally broke down every College and NFL football game for the upcoming weekend on his "SportsAnalyst ON-THE-LINE" Internet radio show.

For three years, Joe appeared with the Dean of Southwest Sports Talk, Norm Hitzges, on his Friday morning show on 570 KLIF radio in Dallas. During each segment Joe released his UGLY MUTT Game of the Week. A game that was usually off the beaten path for match ups for that particular weekend.

Joe Atkins posted an unbelievable record of >> 40-14 << as documented by Norm and all of Texas on that Ugly Mutt Game during that three year period. The success has continued on this web site >> 12-4 75% last season and 67-24 74% the past five seasons on the Ugly Mutt Game of the Week << That's a combined 107-38 74% winners the last EIGHT years!
